Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings All,
I do hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving. It was wonderful here. Spent a wonderful time with the family. The Dinner was awesome as were the desserts.

I didn't want to day to end here where I am without saying THANK YOU VERY MUCH for taking the time to read my book.

It is a labor of love that I get to share with you and that's a whole lot. I really do appreciate you taking the time to buy it, downloading it, reading it. I do hope you are enjoying it.

I just put the finishing touches on Chapters 13, 14 & 15. I can honestly tell you that I am on the home stretch to bring this book to a close. The ending may or may not surprise you but I can say that it will end NOT the way that you think it will end. ;)

1 week till next update

Dear Reader,
Just a quick reminder that we are one week away from the next update to DOUGHBOY CITY.

The process will be the same. Sometime throughout the day on Saturday November 23, 2013 you will receive an email from AMAZON.com notifying that an update to DOUGHBOY CITY has been made and it will also include instructions to update your Kindle copy of DOUGHBOY CITY.

Next week's update will include eight new chapters (5 - 12). The story shifts into the next gear. Things start pickup and now the fun really begins.

There is no cost for the update.

However, if this is the first time you are reading this blog and you have not ordered and downloaded your copy of DOUGHBOY CITY then by all means please head on over to AMAZON.com and get your copy for only $0.99.

This will not be the last update. I will conclude the book just after the start of the new year.

Doughboy City (mini update)

This weekend I was working on the latest update to Doughboy City. Here is a little something-something just for you:

"When the evening comes to Doughboy City, quickly, fire barrels are lit. The fire barrels are actually 55-gallon drums with the top removed and a fire on the inside. The heat that barrel gives off is fantastic and when your fellow soldiers gather around it, well, those are some of the best times. Many years from now, I will remember and know that nothing would compare to those simple times. When all the action for the day has ceased and it was just soldiers and no outside influence, just Infantrymen. They could be themselves; they could let their guard down, just shoot “the shit” or vent about the bad and celebrate the good as we gathered around a single 55-gallon drum with a roaring fire on the inside. There would never be another time like that. For now, I was dealing with the passing of a friend and I was starting to think it was not an accident."

Doughboy City (Update #4)

Hello Readers,

I hope you are doing well. Here is some news on what is happening here.

First off, I want to thank everyone that has purchased a copy. I also want you to know that I am very appreciative of the fact that you took the time to buy the ebook and read it and most of all being patient with me and my updates. The idea with the updates was to create a "serial" effect in presenting the book from start to finish. I am big fan of old time radio (radio plays from the 1930s and 1940s) and decided to try this format with my first ebook. I do hope it is not too inconvenient. Don't worry, it will be finished soon.

Speaking of finishing soon, the next addition to the ebook should be live some time in very late November.

If you are interested in the next book in the Occupied Berlin series it has been tentatively titled: "Berlin Airlift" and I will post a little something about that new book here some time very soon.

Here is a very small excerpt from the upcoming update:

“Good, hopefully he’ll stay in the CP until just before they decide to attack.”

“This should be interesting seeing them attack from up here”

“It will be nice to not be lugging this beast down that hill then up and down the streets at Doughboy.”

“Careful what you say, they could at the last minute tell us to follow them on the attack.”

All up and down the line of 90MM Recoilless Rifles and M60 Machineguns the men of Alpha Company are settling themselves in for a quick rest before chaos breaks the morning calm and the flashes and bangs changes the tone of the day. Before the line of men and weapons of war the ground will shake and the sky will be filled a new set of clouds. The smoke of burning tires, smoke canisters, and wood will hang close to the ground replacing the grey and white of the morning fog.

What seems like an hour is only a few minutes later when word comes down the line that everyone is to get another front layer of bags put in place. More digging, more bags.

“Alright, be right back” as Guerra moves out to get started on filling and moving sand bags.

As I started filling the two half empty bags I could hear some discussion just off to the right and on the other side of the fog. I recognized the voices.

Pomysł z aktualizacji było stworzenie "Serial" efektu prezentując książkę od początku do końca. Jestem wielkim fanem starego radia czasu (słuchowiska radiowe z 1930 i 1940) i postanowiliśmy spróbować tego formatu z mojego pierwszego ebooka. Mam nadzieję, że to nie jest zbyt uciążliwe. Nie martw się, będzie zakończona wkrótce.

Mówiąc o ukończeniu szybko, następny dodatek do ebooka należy żyć trochę czasu w listopadzie bardzo późno.

Jeśli jesteś zainteresowany w następnej książki na okupowanych serii Berlin został roboczo zatytułowany: "Berlin Airlift" i będę pisać coś o tej nowej książce tutaj jakiś czas bardzo szybko.

"Dobrze, zaraz wracam ", jak Guerra przenosi się do rozpoczęcia napełniania i przenoszenie worków z piaskiem .
Jak zacząłem wypełnienie dwóch pół pustych worków Słyszałem dyskusję tuż na prawo , a na drugiej stronie mgły. Rozpoznałem głosy.
