The first book in the OCCUPIED BERLIN: Tales from Freedon's Outpost series is DOUGHBOY CITY.
Book Description:
During the Allied Occupation of Berlin (1945-1994) the US soldiers
needed a place to hone their skills and prepare for when the Soviets and
the Warsaw Pact moved towards making Khrushchev's Ultimatum a reality.
Doughboy City was where they went to train and practice their soldier
skills.
Doughboy City was a mock city with its own subway station and city hall. As with any training situation there will be accidents and Doughboy City had its fair share of accidents over its brief history. However, one foggy morning the training turns deadly. The military called it a
horrible accident but one Soldier knows it was not but cannot prove who
did it. He accuses the most logical person but accusing and proving are two different things. That is until an unlikely duo changes everything for everyone.
All this takes place in the days before the world would change forever.
Then again, in Berlin change is an everyday occurrence.
